SCATE
(Student Centered Approach to Torah Education)
Torah Day School uses a Student-Centered Approach to a Torah Education (SCATE) that is best implemented in a safe, growth-minded environment, where students feel valued and therefore ready to actively participate in learning.
TDSA teachers show the same love, patience, expectations, and pride that they have for their own children towards each of the 350 students under their care. They are always looking toward the students’ best interests, recalibrating what works to facilitate each one's growth based on where they are academically and emotionally, and how they each learn best.
Teachers and students build sincere and genuine relationships in their class leading to a consistent learning atmosphere, with healthy and flexible expectations. Routine builds their knowledge and skills, as well as their sense of self, their personalities, and their חלק in תורה.
Our student-centered approach, offers opportunities for student leadership and provides a robust support program including resources and enrichment.
