Chanukah is creeping closer and closer and the second grade at TDSA is almost ready. For the last few weeks, the students have been working in small groups with Rabbi Rubin and Mrs. Cavalier to make menorahs out of metal rods, spent shell casings and cement. Rabbi Rubin led the girls and boys in using some impressive machinery like a rotary saw to cut the pieces down to size. The second grade students took part in every stage of the process, learned a lot about metalworking and made truly unique menorahs to use on Chanukah.
