This year’s Mother-Daugther Melave Malka theme was “Lechayim” , a toast of gratitude to the students’ mothers for all they do for us. The tables were beautifully decorated in gold and black with coordinating wine-glass centerpieces. The girls had prepared a packed evening of activities with Mother/Daughter “Minute-To-Win-It” Challenges, an enlightening candle making project and more! The mothers and daughters who attended enjoyed socializing with other parents and students there while enjoying time with their loving daughters. One of the most meaningful activities was when the parents were asked to hide behind a curtain showing only their hands. The girls were then tasked with identifying their mother from just her hands- and each girl handed her mother a heartfelt letter describing what they’re appreciative for! Some mothers were even witnessed tearing up from the contents of their notes. The feedback from the evening was tremendously positive, not just because those who attended enjoyed themselves, but also because the girls who planned it had the opportunity to see their hard work pay off, laying the foundation for future growth and leadership opportunities for our students.
