There are a multitude of lessons that we can be taught by our forefathers and mothers. The Jewish nation has a particularly strong connection with Rachel Imeinu, the Matriarch Rachel. The legacy of her sacrifice for her sister and the way she advocated for the Jewish people on their way down to exile is highlighted every year on the anniversary of her passing, her Yartzeit. Mrs. Horowitz's seventh grade class reviewed the highlights of Rachel Imeinu's life and values. Using coffee they stained cardstock and traced out the image of her burial place, covering it with the words of "Kol Berama" to solidify their connection to all that she represents. Their pictures will be displayed in the middle-school hallway for all the students to admire and appreciate.
