How High Can Your Hopper Go?

TDSA's third grade boys are now experts in motion. This week they learned that in order to move, an object has to have a certain amount of force. In order to move, an object needs to have an unbalanced force. The students experimented with this by creating there own hopper poppers out of carboard and rubber bands. By tightening the rubber bands they were able to exert unequal force on their hopper poppers and make them jump higher.
