Building on History

American history has many chapters. In Mrs. Bram's Social Studies Class, the 5th grade students are wrapping up their unit on one such chapter: Pre-colonial America. The introduction of European settlers and the onset of colonialism on the American continent represented a massive sea-change for the tribes and Native peoples living in America at the time. Mrs. Bram's students studied all about the various tribes living in Pre-colonial America. As a final project, to demonstrate their mastery of the information they've learned, the students split into groups and used their newfound knowledge to construct incredibly detailed models of Native American dwellings.
