TDSA's Kindergarten used apples as a basis to explore various mathematical and scientific concepts. The students became Apple Investigators and used scales and counters to see how much the apples weighted. They practiced their language, comprehension and comparison skills by tasting different types of apples. The students also counted the seeds inside an apple to see how many there were. To cap everything off they tested the buoyancy of apples in the sink to see if they float. (Shh! They do!!)
