Our second grade girls are ready to learn Chumash and they jumped right in on Monday! Do you see their adorable badges! Learning Torah is an honor and our students wore their badges with pride. They learned their first pasuk (passage) while standing on their chairs. Shorashim (root words), haschalos (prefixes), and techilios (suffixes) are all skills the students will be picking up over the next couple of months! Don't mind the interesting hand motions-that's just the girls learning how to say the shorashim in sign language! As the girls master translation skills, their lifelong love of learning Chumash is set in motion.
