TDSA’s third graders are becoming experts on different parts of speech. Mrs. Bolnick set up a scavenger hunt throughout the school and groups of students worked together to first located different words and record them on clipboards. They then sorted the words into Nouns, Verbs, Adjectives, and Adverbs and used graphic organizers and charts to display their findings to the class. Finally, as a follow-up activity they used the words they collected to construct funny and creative sentences to share with the class. These sentences will then be compiled into a class story.
