And all who are involved in the needs of the community faithfully, may the Holy One Blessed Be He, pay their reward
Dear TDSA Family,
If you are a full-time Jewish communal professional, please read ahead for exciting news:
Jewish Atlanta would not be the same without you! At TDSA we have strived to show our appreciation of your profound contribution to our community by providing generous tuition assistance.
Now, we are excited to announce our participation in a new community-based program called the Jewish Community Professional Day School Tuition Grant (JCP). This program rewards those, like you, who work for the betterment of our community. We are very grateful to have this partnership which will help subsidize tuition for those who work on behalf of the Jewish community.
Working in partnership with The Zalik Foundation and a consortium of community funders, Torah Day School will be able to ensure that full-time Jewish community professionals receive a tuition grant of up to 50% off of the full tuition rate, for their children enrolled next year in Grades K-8. Participation is capped at 20% of school enrollment. Because far more than 20% of our students will be eligible for this program, we estimate that tuition grants will be below 50% to ensure as many members of the TDSA community who are eligible can benefit from this generous opportunity.
The program begins across all grades next school year and continues for the two subsequent years for eligible professionals who thereafter choose to enroll their children entering Kindergarten, 1st, 5th, and 6th grade. Once a student begins receiving the Grant, they are guaranteed to receive it for the duration of their enrollment in elementary or middle school, whichever school division they were enrolled when they began receiving the JCP Grant.
Many of you already are beneficiaries of the support the grant provides. However, participation in the grant program will enable TDSA to help subsidize a portion of the tuition assistance you are receiving. This will enable us to free up some of our other fundraising dollars toward academic and programmatic improvements.
We have attached additional information about the program. More information about applying to and enrolling in this grant will be forthcoming. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to us.
With Great Appreciation for all that you do,
Rabbi Meir Cohen Miriam Cann Head of School Executive Director
