Our Resource teachers work with children out of the classroom on specific skills and create curricula addressing the precise areas needing improvement for each child. The Resource teachers work intricately with classroom teachers and parents to help close learning/knowledge gaps so that the child will be able to integrate fully and successfully into their class. Classroom teachers are advised on how to modify the curriculum to meet the needs of the child.
TDSA is fortunate to receive Title I funds from three different counties. Title I is a federally funded program designed to ensure that all children have a fair, equal, and significant opportunity to obtain a high-quality education. The goal of Title I is to provide extra instructional services and activities that support students who need additional assistance in mathematics, reading, and writing. The Title I mission is to help each child successfully meet or exceed expectations in school and on standardized tests.
